His Eminence Sheikh Youssef Nabha delivered the two Friday sermons on the 28th of July, 2017 (4 Dhul Qa’dah 1438) from Masjid Arrahman in Sydney amongst a mass of believers.
In the first (religious) sermon, Sheikh Nabha addressed the believers about the piety of fearing and worshipping Allah and not to fall for the devilish inclinations and whispers of the Shaitan (Satan) who will influence our ability to think rationally. Sheikh Nabha explained that there are two forms of struggle (Jihad) in, the Jihad of fighting the enemy, and the second, which is the hardest form of Jihad, is the struggle against the Self(Jihad Al-Nafs).
Sheikh Nabha said in this struggle, the struggle against the self, the believer and even the fighter are exposed in their everyday life to Shaitan’s efforts to misguide them and to deter their worship with Allah (swt). Sheikh Nabha reminded believers that our actions will be held accountable on the Day of Judgement for Allah says, “O you who have believed, fear Allah. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow – and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do”, so, we ought to hold our behaviours and actions in this world accountable and purify them for Allah says, Truly, he succeeds that purifies it. And he fails that corrupts it!”
In the second (political) sermon, Sheikh Nabha touched upon the recent developments in Palestine, as Al-Aqsa Mosque continues to witness an Israeli siege, and in Lebanon, outskirts of the village of Arsal was liberated from the terrorist organisation Jabhat Al-Nusra by a combined effort from the Lebanese resistance and the Lebanese army and military forces.
The following is the text of his speech:
Palestine is still besieged from the Israeli occupier who continues to prevent the Palestinians from performing their prayer in the Al-Aqsa Mosque while the Occupation allows the Israeli settlers to enter the grounds and premises of the Holy Mosque and ensures, through its military forces, the safety and security of those settlers. This led to an outrage from the Palestinian people who, yesterday, passed all the Israeli military restrictions and performed the Asr prayer in the Al-Aqsa Mosque as dozens were injured in confrontations with the Israeli occupier.
The Friday prayer today, that the Palestinians have called upon its people to attend in masses, is a significant and vital step towards liberating Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli occupation. In this regard, we call upon the Islamic nation to support this step and to stand beside the Palestinian people in this historic moment amidst a global silence on Israel’s occupation and violation of the sanctity of the Holy Islamic sites.
As for Saudi Arabia, while is satisfied by only releasing statements of condemnation about the Israeli occupation of Al-Aqsa, it does not hesitate to use military actions against its own people in the village of Al-Awamiyah, as 5 of its residents were martyred. They continue to besiege and instill fear in them only because there is a new Crown Prince who aims to spread authority and control through terrorizing people and killing them to claim later a Rulership that leaves no room for freedom and opposition of speech.
As for Lebanon, the outskirts of the Village of Arsal was liberated from the terrorist organization Jabhat Al-Nusra by the will of Allah and by the courageous efforts of the Lebanese resistance, who possess a wise leadership and courageous men that attack with hearts that spring with faith and determination and that know no shame, and by the Lebanese army and its military forces, who are loyal to their homeland and to protecting their borders. And this was the secret in the victory, when the Army teams up with the Resistance who are then supported by loyal people who have remained steadfast and endured all the pains from the corrupt political class that conspires against them and against the their positions of power, because this political class has relinquished its self to its greed and to the external powers that they think will help them in confronting the resistance and free will of its people.
